Medido is an automatic medication dispenser that allows clients to follow up medication moments by pressing one button. If a client doesn't react it will even send a message to the home care organisation. In the last couple of years, Medido has grown really fast. At the time I was working there, it wasn't that big yet and was a part of the product designing team. The medication dispenser is mainly made out of plastic parts and required a lot of changes in a stainless steel mould during the designing process. Moulds made in China, injected in The Netherlands and parts assembled in Slovakia; a lot of people were involved. My main job was to keep an eye on the assembling process in Slovakia, check the incoming parts, keep track of the stock and help out the logistic department when needed. It was an interesting experience and my first insight in all the aspects of the production of a new product.
